Packin' It In

makes me happy.

If you've been reading my blog for a while now, then you know the Tuesday following Labour Day is when I have my 'Back To School Talk' with myself.

For me summer is a time of over indulgence. I'll eat the ribs, drink the beers, stay up late and do it all over again tomorrow. Summer is short in Canada and I believe saying 'Yes!' to all fun opportunities that come along is one of the best ways to get the most out of this precious season.

And yet if I carried on like this for much longer I think I would begin to loose my balance... in more then one way.

Although I have not actually gone 'back to school' for a number of years, I still feel the beginning of September is a great time to get back on the healthy train, begin new projects, organize myself and generally find the content, and peaceful flow that makes up my best life.

But before I delve to deep in to that...

let me share with you the good times I packed into our final days of summer!

Kelly and Sandy were super stoked to find out Kevyn had Saturday night off...

to hang by the pool...

eat meat...

drink wine...

and celebrate mom's 62nd birthday!

Everyone had been busy prepping for my dad's 60th birthday bash to be held the next day, so it was a real treat to sit down together as a family, eat some sticky ribs, and let mom know just how much she means to us all.

Ah, the calm before the storm.

That is a great idea. I just graduated in May, and I'm feeling a little lost about what to do with my spare time, what will make me feel productive, ect. Thanks!
