Creating A Movement

makes me happy.

While grocery shopping the other day I picked up some prunes to sauté and puree for the Byrd and couldn't help but think - what an unappetizing word prune is.

Right there and then I decided I was going to create a movement (excuse the pun) to change their name.

And so it began, one short hour later, when Kev came into the kitchen to help put away the groceries...

Kev - "What are those?"
Me - "Dried plums."
Kev - "Oh... apricots."

Off to a flying start!

If you buy the fancy shmancy organic ones from Noah's they really ARE called dried plums!

Last summer at the grocery store one Saturday (yay sample day!) a lady was serving these hors d'oeuvres that were so fantastic I had to grab the recipe and all the ingredients that very minute!

Fresh prune plums, halved and pitted
Fresh bleu cheese to taste
Pecan halves
Organic honey

Place a piece of bleu in the middle of each prune half, top with pecan, and drizzle with honey. AMAZING!
