The Cherry Blossoms

make me happy.

I had heard about the Cherry Blossom walk in High Park before and now...

cannot believe it took me this long to...

take it in.

Back in 1959, the Japanese ambassador to Canada donated 2000 Cherry Trees to the city of Toronto in appreciation of accepting re-located Japanese- Canadians after WWII. Most of them planted in High Park.

And finally, on a perfectly sunny morning in April, I walked under the canopy of blossoms, along the hillside of Grenadier Pond, and did some appreciating of my own.
